- Ingredients
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup butter
- 2 Tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1-1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 loaf sour dough bread (1-inch slices)
- 5 eggs
- 1-1/4 cups milk
- Strawberries
- Powdered sugar
In a saucepan, cook and stir brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and cinnamon until melted. Pour into an ungreased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Place bread in a single layer on top of brown sugar. Cut bread to fill baking dish. Set aside. In mixing bowl, beat eggs and milk. Pour over bread and cover and refrigerate overnight.
Remove cover and bake at 350 degrees for over 35 to 45 minutes or until bread rises. Top with strawberries and powdered sugar.
