Berry streusel recipe details
- Ingredients for Topping:
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar (well-packed)
- 3 Tablespoons flour
- 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 3 Tablespoons butter
- Ingredients for Streusel:
- 1/4 cup butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 2 cups flour, sifted
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups berries
This is great with either blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries. Try to use fresh. If they aren’t available, use frozen, partially thawed and drained of any juice.
In a small bowl, blend together topping ingredients. In large bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and egg. Add all remaining ingredients other than the berries. When batter is well mixed, carefully fold in the berries. Pour into an 8 x 8-inch inch glass baking dish that has been sprayed with Pamnon-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle with topping. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.
