Beer bread with dill recipe details
Ingredients
450 g | bread or cake flour |
7 ml | salt |
20 ml | baking powder |
2 ml | bicarbonate of soda |
30 ml | brown sugar |
30 ml | fresh dill, chopped (or half as much dried) |
340 ml | beer |
Instructions
Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda.Add sugar and dill. Mix thoroughly.
Make a well in the centre and pour in the beer.
Stir to combine, and then knead lightly to form a stiff dough.
Place dough in a well-greased small loaf tin and bake in a preheated oven at 160 ºC for 1 hour, or until done.
Test with a skewer. Turn out on to a wire rack to cool before serving.
