Beef tongue in white wine sauce recipe details
Ingredients
450 g | beef tongue, cooked and cubed |
3 tbsp | butter |
1 | onion, chopped |
2 tbsp | flour |
2 slice(s) | lemon |
1 glass(es) | white wine |
1 | mace |
250 ml | beef stock |
salt and pepper |
Instructions
In a saucepan, melt the butter. Add the onion and sauté until lucent. Stir in the flour and cook for 2 more minutes. Pour in the beef stock, bring to a boil and cook until the sauce is slightly thickened.Add the lemon slices, white wine, mace and beef tongue. Bring almost to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Remove the lemon slices and mace from the sauce and serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
