Ingredients
200 g | flour, all-purpose |
100 ml | water, handwarm |
½ pack(s) | dry yeast, about 1 tsp |
1 tbsp | Italian seasoning |
3 tbsp | olive oil |
1 pinch(es) | sugar |
1 pinch(es) | garlic powder |
Instructions
Combine flour, yeast, salt, sugar and Italian seasoning in a bowl.
Add 2 tbsp of olive oil and water and mix with a wooden spoon or use an electric mixer. You may need to add a bit more water or flour as the dough should not be sticky.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface (counter, kitchen table, or a big board) and knead for 10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Coat the dough with the remaining oil and place it in a bowl. Cover with a damp kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour, or until the dough has doubled in size.
Remove from bowl and punch it down. Let it rest for about 5 minutes, then form it into a disk and add your toppings.
I bake my pizza on a pizza stone that has been heated up in a very hot oven. Use the highest temperature possible (mine is 260 C) and bake it for 8-10 minutes.
