Ingredients

800 ml beef broth
240 ml soy sauce
240 ml red wine or dry sherry
150 g brown sugar
2  star anise
1 pinch(es) ground ginger

Instructions

Place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir and cook for about 10 minutes. Cool, then refrigerate. Use as needed.
