Baked canap s with ham bell peppers and tomatoes recipe details
Ingredients
1 | onion, chopped |
1 | red bell pepper, diced |
½ bunch(es) | parsley, chopped |
150 g | crème fraîche |
100 g | sour cream |
4 | tomatoes, halved |
75 g | freshly grated Cheddar cheese |
4 slice(s) | bread, thick cut |
8 slice(s) | ham |
1 tbsp | oil |
salt and pepper |
Instructions
In a pan heat the oil and sauté the onion. Add the bell pepper and cook until lucent.In a small bowl mix the crème fraîche with sour cream and the parsley. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with 25g of the cheese. Preheat the oven to 175°C. Halve the bread slices, place them on a lined baking tray and bake until golden and slightly crispy.
Top the bread slices with the ham and the bell pepper and onion mixture, spread with the parsley cream and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Place the tomatoes in between the bread on the baking tray and bake the lot until the cheese has melted.
