Baked banana crumble recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups orange juice
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 10 bananas, peeled and sliced into 1/2 inch pieces (or smaller)
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup quick cooking oatmeal
- 1-1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
- 3/4 cup sliced almonds (optional)
Mix orange juice and vanilla; reserve. Slice bananas and arrange in a layer in a greased 9 x 13 glass baking dish. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, nutmeg and salt. Cut in butter and blend until it resembles a small crumble mixture.
Drizzle bananas with orange juice and vanilla mixture. Spoon crumble mixture over fruit and sprinkle with almonds.
Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve warm. Great topped with a scoop of ice cream!
