Award winning apple brandy cake recipe details
- Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1-1/4 cups vegetable oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2-1/2 cups apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 cup brandy

Sift together flour, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, and baking soda. In a separate bowl, mix together the vegetable oil, sugar, and eggs. Combine both bowls and mix until most. In a third bowl, mix together the apples, nuts, vanilla, and Brandy and add to batter. Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch glass pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Cool on rack and cover with plastic wrap. Let sit for 2 days before serving.
