Aunt etta's cranberry salad recipe details
This is one of the best ways to eat cranberries! It’s sweet, crunchy, and a bit tart. Even the kids like this one. We’ve had to start making a double batch! When short on time we have combined the fruit and marshmallows the night before serving, and added the gelatin, whipped cream, and walnuts in the morning.
Ready in: 2 days
Ingredients
Serves: 8- 2 cups cranberries
- 1 peeled apple
- 1 small can crushed pineapple
- 2 cups mini-marshmallows
- 1 package plain gelatin
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup whipped cream
- 1 cup walnuts
Preparation method
Prep: 2 days1. Chop cranberries and apples. Combine cranberries, apples, pineapple and marshmallows. Let stand overnight.
2. Next day combine water and gelatin. Mix in with fruit. Add whipped cream. Chop walnuts and add. Let stand overnight.
