Ingredients

400 g minced meat, beef or pork or peef and pork mixed
1 pack(s) wonton wrappers
1  onion, chopped
1 clove(s) garlic, chopped
1  chili, seeded and chopped
4 sprig(s) cilantro, finely chopped
1 small piece of ginger, grated
oil
soy sauce
salt and pepper
1  egg, beaten
oil, for deep-frying
For the sauce:
80 ml white wine vinegar
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp ketchup
1  red chili pepper, chopped
salt

Instructions

Mix all sauce ingredients together and set the dip aside.

In a pan, heat the oil. Stir-fry the onion, garlic and the minced meat until the meat is crumbly. Stir in the chili, cilantro and the ginger. Season with salt, pepper and soy sauce. Mix well and allow to cool.

Brush the edges of the wonton wrappers with egg. Spoon some of the meat mixture onto the middle of the squares. Fold over to form triangles or seal the four corners together to shape a bindle. Make sure that the wontons are firmly sealed.

In a deep fryer or wok, heat the oil. Deep-fry the wontons until golden and crispy. Drain on kitchen paper.

Serve immediately, together with the dip.
