Asia Style Lemon Chicken recipe
|500 g||chicken breast fillets, cut into strips|
|300 ml||soy sauce|
|150 ml||chicken stock|
|3 tbsp||celery leaves, chopped|
|1 tsp||garlic, minced|
|some||salt and pepper|
Combine chicken strips and soy sauce and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Heat oil. Turn the chicken strips in 5 tablespoons of cornstarch until well coated, then fry until colour turns light brown. Do not overcook. Transfer the meat onto a plate, and set aside.
Sautè garlic and celery leaves. Pour in the chicken stock. Add salt, lemon rind, lemon juice and pepper and bring to a boil. Mix the remaining cornstarch with a little water and stir in. Cook stirring until the sauce thickens. Return the fried chicken strips and cook for another minute.
