Apricot tart with orange flavoured marzipan recipe details
Ingredients
1 | orange, juice and grated peel |
220 g | flour |
75 g | icing sugar |
1 | egg yolk |
100 g | butter |
8 large | apricots, stones removed, quartered |
200 g | marzipan, grated |
2 tbsp | almond flakes, toasted |
3 tbsp | apricot jam |
Instructions
Mix the flour with the icing sugar. Stir in the egg yolk, butter and the orange zest. Knead until well combined. Cool for 1 hour. Roll out and line a tart form with the dough. Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.Combine the marzipan with the orange juice. Spread the cake bottom with the marzipan and arrange the apricots on top. Bake in the preheated oven for another 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
Heat the jam with 1 tablespoons of water. Spread the cake with the jam and sprinkle with the almond flakes.
Serve with whipped cream.
