Apricot and almond bread recipe details
Ingredients
1 jar(s) | apricot baby food, strained (about 150ml or 6oz) |
60 ml | water, just warm |
2 tbsp | butter, cut into pieces |
1 tsp | salt |
300 g | white bread flour, use 50/50 bread and plain flour for a lighter bread |
2 tbsp | sugar |
2 tsp | yeast, use fast rise or bread machine yeast in preference |
40 g | dried apricots, roughly chopped |
40 g | flaked almonds, lightly toasted, you may need some more |
Instructions
Place the ingredients into the bread machine in the order specified by the manufacturer.Select basic or white bread cycle, medium crust (or light if your machine bakes a little more thoroughly). Add fruit and nuts after the initial mixing stage unless you have a machine with a fruit dispenser, then select the appropriate cycle.
When finished, remove from the machine and cool on a wire rack.
Slice when completely cold.
