Ingredients
240 ml | chicken broth |
1 medium | onion, chopped |
4 tbsp | butter |
200 g | bread crumbs |
2 medium | apples, peeled, cored, chopped |
60 g | pecans, chopped |
1 tsp | sage, ground |
25 tsp | cinnamon, ground |
⅛ tsp | pepper |
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine chicken broth, onion, butter and salt. Bring to a quick boil and then reduce heat. Cover and simmer until onion is tender, about 5-7 minutes.In a mixing bowl, combine bread crumbs, apples, pecans, sage, cinnamon, and pepper. Pour broth mixture over the bread crumbs. Stir to moisten.
Spoon into a greased casserole. Bake at 150°C for 25- 30 minutes.
