Apple cake with vanilla sauce recipe details
Ingredients
For the cake: | |
4 | apple(s), diced |
300 g | sugar |
2 tsp | cinnamon |
125 ml | olive oil |
2 | egg(s) |
1 tsp | salt |
1 tsp | soda |
115 g | nuts |
225 g | flour |
For the sauce: | |
115 g | butter |
115 g | sugar |
1 tbsp | cornstarch |
125 ml | milk, evaporated |
1 tsp | vanilla extract |
Instructions
Cake:Mix together diced apples and eggs. Add sugar, oil and nuts. Then add salt, flour, cinnamon, salt and soda.
Put everything into a pan (ca 9×12 inch / 22cm) and bake at about 170°C for about 45 minutes.
Sauce:
Melt butter and combine with sugar and cornstarch. add vanilla and evaporated milk. While stirring bring to boil.
Pour sauce over cake and serve.
