Anise bread recipe details
Ingredients
300 g | wheat flour |
4 tsp | anise seeds |
1 tsp | baking powder |
1 packet(s) | dry yeast (7g) |
1 tsp | sugar |
½ tsp | salt |
350 ml | sparkling water, lukewarm |
butter to grease the baking dish |
Instructions
Grease and spread with 3 teaspoon anise seeds a half round loaf pan (30cm/12″).Mix flour with baking powder, 1 teaspoon anise seeds and yeast. Mix lukewarm sparkling water with salt and sugar and add to the flour. Mix well.
Fill dough in baking dish. Cover and let stand for 15 minutes at a warm place.
Preheat oven to 200°C.
Place a bowl with boiling water on the bottom of the oven. Bake for 35 minutes. Turn off the oven. Put the bread out of the baking dish and place it in the oven for another 5 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack.
