Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 3/4 pound ground turkey
- 1 (12 ounce) bottle amber ale beer
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can fire-roasted crushed tomatoes
- 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- Salt and pepper
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 25 mins1. Heat olive oil in Dutch oven or large heavy skillet over medium heat. Cook the bell pepper and onion in hot oil for 5 minutes, then add tomato paste, chili powder, and turkey. Cook, stirring, until meat is browned, about 8 minutes.
2. Add all remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, and simmer on low for about 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
