Amanda jerky marinade recipe details
My husband and his friends love this jerky. I have used the marinade for beef and deer jerky. I used it in both a smoker and dehydrator.
Ready in: 1 day 6 hours 15 mins
Ingredients
Makes: 2 1/2 pounds- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon MSG (such as Accent(R))
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 4 pounds beef or venison, cut into 1/4-inch-thick strips
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 6 hours | Extra time: 1 day, marinating1. Combine the marinade ingredients and meat strips in a zip-top bag until evenly mixed. Press out the air, seal, and marinate in the refrigerator up to 4 days, but a minimum of 24 hours.
2. Dehydrate or smoke at 160 degrees F until dry, 6 to 8 hours. Or cook according to manufacturer’s directions.
