Almond scones recipe details
- Ingredients
- 2 cups Bisquickbaking mix
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped almonds
- 1/3 cup heavy cream or half & half
- 3 Tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 egg
- Milk
- 2 Tablespoons coarsely chopped almonds
- Sugar
Preheat oven to 425 degrees and grease cookie sheet. Mix baking mix, 1/2 cup chopped almonds, heavy cream, 3 Tablespoons sugar, almond extract and egg until dough forms. Turn onto surface dusted with Bisquick; roll in mix to cover. Shape into a ball and knead 10 times. Pat into an 8-inch circle on cookie sheet; brush with milk, and sprinkle with a Tablespoon almonds and sugar. Cut halfway into 8 wedges. Bake until golden brown, about 12 minutes. Serve warm.
