Ingredients
1 tbsp | sesame seeds |
2 tbsp | thyme, dried |
½ tbsp | sumac |
½ tbsp | sea salt |
Instructions
Roast the sesame seeds in a non-sticking pan until they change the colour to light brown. Mix seeds with thyme, sumac and salt.Za’atar is used to flavour bread, mix into mashed potatoes, sprinkle over pizza, season salads, rub into chicken skin before frying, grilling, barbecuing or roasting, mix with olive oil as a dip sauce, sprinkle on flat-bread brushed with olive oil and lightly grill until toasted
