Whisky chicken recipe details
Ingredients
For the whisky sauce:1 ½ kg chicken breasts, cut into chunks |
2 tbsp butter |
240 ml whisky |
150 g mushrooms, sliced |
50 g leeks, sliced |
120 ml single cream |
2 tbsp flour |
1 tbsp lemon juice |
2 tsp whisky |
Instructions
Brown chicken in a skillet in butter for 15 minutes, turning occasionally.Add the 240 ml whiskey to the skillet, cover and simmer 30-35 minutes.
Remove chicken to serving paltter and keep warm.
Sauce:
Add some water to pan juices, stir in mushrooms and green onions.
Cook until onions are tender.
Combine cream and flour and add to mixture in skillet.
Cook and stir until thick.
Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice and the additional whiskey. Spoon sauce over chicken.
