Warm apple and cardamom tartlets recipe details
Ingredients
175 g | flour |
1 pinch(es) | baking powder |
1 pinch(es) | salt |
50 g | soft sugar |
½ tsp | cardamom |
100 g | margarine |
1 | egg |
For the filling : | |
750 g | apples |
75 ml | water |
2 tbsp | soft sugar |
1 tsp | cardamom |
75 g | almond slivers |
6 tsp | soft sugar, to sprinkle |
Instructions
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cardamom. Add egg and margarine and knead to a dough. Cover and set aside in a cool place for 30 minutes.Peel, core and thinly slice the apples. Pour water, sugar and cardamom into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the apples and boil for approximately 3 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Grease 6 tartlet pans (10cm in diameter) and line them with the dough. Spread almond slivers over the dough. Take the apples out of the juice in the saucepan and arrange them on the dough. Sprinkle on each tartlet one teaspoonful of soft sugar.
Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes, then sprinkle with some juice of the boiled apples.
Serve still warm with vanilla ice cream or walnut ice cream.
