Waffle and wine cream sandwiches recipe details
Ingredients
40 g | soft butter |
2 tbsp | sugar |
1 pack(s) | vanilla sugar |
1 dash(es) | salt |
1 | egg |
80 g | flour |
1 pinch(es) | baking powder |
100 g | whipping cream |
50 ml | milk |
1 leaf | gelatin |
70 ml | white wine |
1 tsp | lemon juice |
icing sugar |
Instructions
Whisk the butter with 1 tablespoon of sugar, ½ pack of vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt until creamy. Whisk in the egg. Sift in the flour and the baking powder and mix until well combined. Stir in the milk and 30g of the cream.Pour spoonfuls of the waffle batter into a waffle iron and bake waffles until the batter is used up.
Soak the gelatin in water. Mix together the wine, lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Squeeze out the gelatin, dissolve and stir into the wine mixture. Allow to cool. Whip the remaining cream with the remaining vanilla sugar until stiff. Fold the whipped cream into the wine mixture.
Spread half of the waffles with the wine cream and top with the other waffles. Place into the fridge for an hour. Serve the waffles sprinkled with icing sugar.
