Very different cup cakes recipe details
Ingredients
100 g | butter, softened |
250 g | caster sugar |
3 medium | eggs |
300 g | S R flour |
tsp | cream of tartar |
1 tsp | vanilla essence |
4 tbsp | milk |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 200°C/180F/Gas6 adjusted for fan oven.Put butter and sugar in a large bowl and electric whisk for around 5 minutes.
Whisk in 2 of the eggs, followed by half the flour and the cream of tartar and vanilla essence.
Then whisk in the other egg and the rest of the flour.
Transfer the mixture to paper cases on trays and bake for approximately 10 minutes until risen and golden.
Put icing or chocolate on top if you wish, but I found that the flavour of the cakes alone was superior.
