Easter cakes recipe details
Ingredients
1.3 g | flour, sef-raising |
400 g | sugar |
400 g | butter |
8 medium | eggs, beaten |
6 medium | hard-boiled eggs |
2 tbsp | custard powder |
230 g | shredded coconut |
Instructions
Combine butter and flour, add sugar and stir in beaten eggs. Add custard powder and coconut. Mix.Knead dough and divide into 6 pieces. Form into 6 long strings.
Place each string on a tray, forming a ring. Place a boiled egg at each end, where the dough meets.
Cut 2 strips of the pastry, and place on the egg like an X.
Bake at 200°C for 45 minutes.
