Vegetable qorma details
Ingredients
- Potatoes – 2
- Peas – 1 cup
- Carrots – 2
- Cauliflower – 250 grams
- Yogurt – 250 grams
- Onion – 250 grams
- Cumin seeds (zeera) – ½ tsp
- Green cardamoms (sabz ilaichi) – 4
- Cloves (loung) – 4
- Black pepper – 1 tsp
- Nutmeg (jaifal) – ½ tsp
- Mace (jawitri) – 1 piece
- Red chilli powder – 2 tsp
- Coriander powder ( dhania powder) – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Hot spices powder (garam masala) – ½ tsp
- Kewra – 1 tsp
- Oil – ½ cup
Instructions
- Peel potatoes and carrots and cut into squares
- Break off the flowers of cauliflower
- In pot heat oil and fry onions will brown
- Cool the fried onions and crush them
- Add onions, cumin, cardamoms, cloves, black pepper, mace, nutmeg, red chillies, coriander, and salt to the yogurt and stir
- Fry all vegetables in oil and add yogurt mixture and cook until oil surfaces
- Add a glass of water and cook on low flame until vegetables are tender
- Cook till a little bit of gravy is left, sprinkle hot spices and kewra and serve
