Vanilla frozen yogurt recipe details
Ingredients
90 g | sugar |
2 tsp | cornstarch |
300 ml | evaporated milk |
1 medium | egg, beaten |
2 tbsp | corn syrup |
1 | vanilla bean |
2 tsp | vanilla extract |
300 ml | plain yogurt |
Instructions
Beat egg in a small ball and set aside.Combine sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. Stir in milk, beaten egg and corn syrup.
Cook, stirring, over low heat until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and leave to cool.
Slice the vanilla bean and scrape out the seeds. Add seeds into the mixture along with the vanilla extract and yogurt. Place in fridge and chill, about 1 hour. When mixture is cool, freeze in ice cream freezer according to manufacturer’s instructions or simply place in your freezer.
