Vanilla and cherry dessert with egg liqueur recipe details
Ingredients
2 packet(s) | custard powder, vanilla flavoured, for 1/2l milk each |
80 g | sugar |
1 l | milk |
2 glass(es) | cherries, Morello type, drained 720ml |
750 g | curd cheese |
60 g | sugar |
125 ml | orange juice, freshly pressed, approx. 4 oranges |
375 ml | egg liqueur |
50 g | chocolate shavings, to garnish |
Instructions
Cook a blancmange with the custard powder, sugar and milk. Cover with cling film and allow to cool. Drain the cherries. Mix the curd cheese with sugar and orange juice until smooth.Spoon half of the cherries in a large bowl. Pour over half of the blancmange and flatten. Cover with half of the curd cheese. Layer the remaining cherries, remaining blancmange and finally curd cheese. Gently pour over the egg liqueur and sprinkle with chocolate shavings.
Keep cool until served.
