“Uncle” Bo was my dad’s college roommate. He created these sandwiches and served them up at Friday night parties before Penn State football games. I found this recipe some years back hidden in my mother’s recipe box and decided to make them. They’re great now for sitting in front of the big screen watching football-and football season is fast upon us. Make these for your crowd.

Ingredients
Serves: 8- 3 pounds chipped ham, shredded
- 16 strips bacon
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup Heinz(R) barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup Heinz(R) chili sauce
- 1/2 cup pickle relish
- 1/2 cup bread & butter pickles, chopped
- Cheese of your choice, sliced
- 8 hamburger buns
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 20 mins1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Brown the bacon in a skillet over medium heat, drain and dice.
3. Lightly brown onions in the bacon drippings. Combine with ham and bacon.
4. Add barbecue and chili Sauce to moisten, then cool mixture in bowl.
5. Add relish and chopped pickle. Place mixture on bun, add cheese of choice. Wrap in foil.
6. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Serve hot.
