Uncle ben's meatloaf recipe details
This is an absolutely delicious meatloaf. It’s easy to make. I always serve it with mashed potatoes and often a jar of beef gravy.

Ingredients
Serves: 6- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon hot red pepper sauce
- 1 cup dry bread crumbs (or use freshly made)
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped mushrooms+onion from above; sauteed
Preparation method
Prep: 25 mins | Cook: 1 hour1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a loaf pan.
2. Combine all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl; mix well. Put into loaf pan; lightly mold it until it looks even. Cover with foil.
3. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-75 minutes, or until internal temperature is 160 degrees F. Remove foil at the one hour mark.
4. Drain and discard any fat. Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
