Tuscan mince sauce recipe details
Ingredients
200 g | beef mince |
75 g | pork mince |
1 | chicken liver, sliced |
2 tbsp | tomato puree |
150 g | tomatoes, peeled and chopped |
1 | onion, chopped |
2 clove(s) | garlic, chopped |
½ | carrot, sliced |
30 g | celery, chopped |
2 tbsp | basil, chopped |
2 tbsp | parsley, chopped |
½ glass(es) | red wine |
6 tbsp | olive oil |
salt and pepper |
Instructions
In a saucepan, heat the oil. Add the onion, carrot, celery, parsley, basil and garlic and sautee over medium heat until golden. Stir in the mince and the chicken liver and cook over medium heat for 5-10 minutes. Pour in the red wine and simmer for 2-3 minutes.Add the tomatoes, tomato puree and 4 tablespoons of warm water. Season to taste with salt and pepper and simmer over low heat for 50-60 minutes.
Serve with pasta.
