Ingredients

200 g beef mince
75 g pork mince
1  chicken liver, sliced
2 tbsp tomato puree
150 g tomatoes, peeled and chopped
1  onion, chopped
2 clove(s) garlic, chopped
½  carrot, sliced
30 g celery, chopped
2 tbsp basil, chopped
2 tbsp parsley, chopped
½ glass(es) red wine
6 tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper

Instructions

In a saucepan, heat the oil. Add the onion, carrot, celery, parsley, basil and garlic and sautee over medium heat until golden. Stir in the mince and the chicken liver and cook over medium heat for 5-10 minutes. Pour in the red wine and simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Add the tomatoes, tomato puree and 4 tablespoons of warm water. Season to taste with salt and pepper and simmer over low heat for 50-60 minutes.

Serve with pasta.
