Turkey tonnato recipe details
Ingredients
cooked, cold white meat turkey slices (enough to serve 4) | |
1 large can(s) | tuna in oil, drained (200g) |
6 | anchovy fillets |
30 ml | lemon juice |
1 tsp | capers |
200 ml | thick rich mayonnaise |
black pepper, freshly ground | |
To garnish: | |
lemon slices | |
capers | |
watercress |
Instructions
Arrange the turkey slices on a plate.Blend the tuna, anchovy fillets, lemon juice and capers in a food processor or blender until smooth. Add the mayonnaise and season with pepper to taste.
Spoon over the turkey slices and cover. Chill for about 3 hours.
Garnish with slices of lemon, capers and watercress.
The number of servings is determined by how much turkey you have. The tonnato sauce is equally good with cold chicken breast.
