Turkey marsala recipe details
A classic dish dating to the 17th Century, when an English merchant discovered this traditional Sicilian wine. Provides sweet but complex flavor spooned over turkey breast.

Ingredients
Serves: 2- 1/4 cup flour
- 4 turkey breast cutlets
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup marsala wine
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 15 mins1. Dredge cutlets in flour.
2. Pour 2 tablespoons oil into a large skillet and set over medium heat. Working in batches, brown the turkey in the hot oil, about 4 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels.
3. Pour 1 tablespoon oil into the skillet. Cook mushrooms, onions, and garlic in hot oil for about 4 minutes, then add broth, wine, salt, and thyme.
4. When mixture comes to a boil, simmer for 3 minutes to thicken. Serve sauce spooned over turkey cutlets.
