Turkey chili recipe details
Ingredients
1 kg | ground turkey |
1 tbsp | chili powder |
1 tsp | oregano |
1 tsp | basil |
½ tsp | red pepper flakes, crushed |
1 tbsp | cumin, ground |
2 | bay leaves |
1 tbsp | paprika |
1 medium | onion, chopped |
60 ml | Worcestershire sauce |
60 ml | dry red wine |
2 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
250 ml | tomato puree |
Cheddar cheese, grated | |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Place turkey in a large bowl and add chili powder, oregano, basil, onion, red pepper flakes, cumin, bay leaves and paprika. Mix turkey with mixture to coat well.Then place turkey in a large saucepan and add Worcestershire and red wine. Cover and cook over medium heat 1.5 hours, stirring often.
Add garlic and tomato puree and mix well. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cook over low heat for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve hot with grated Cheddar cheese.
