Tuna tomato sauce recipe details
Ingredients
1 kg | tuna, diced |
500 g | tomatoes, puréed in a blender |
1 medium | onion, diced |
120 ml | dry white wine |
4 tbsp | extra virgin olive oil |
2 | bay leaves |
1 pinch(es) | cinnamon powder |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Add the olive oil to a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Sauté the onion until soft.Add the tuna. Stir to brown the tuna evenly on all sides. Add the wine and reduce heat. Cook on a simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Add the tomato puree, bay leaves and cinnamon.
Continue to cook and stir until the tuna fish is tender.
