Ready in: 1 hour
Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1 pound sausage (what ever your preferrence)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups cooked chopped cabbage
- salt to taste
- 2 cups white sauce (a basic white sauce works best)
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 40 mins1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. Butter a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Cook the sausage in a skillet, breaking it up as it cooks. When sausage is no longer showing any pink to it, transfer it to a bowl. Add the chopped onion to the skillet, with drippings from the sausage and cook until clear.
3. Add the meat and mix well. Transfer that to the casserole dish, and spread evenly on the bottom. Cover that with the cabbage, and salt to taste. Cover with the white sauce.
4. Bake in oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until it is bubbling hot.
