Tomato sauce with garlic recipe details
Ingredients
3 tbsp | olive oil |
1 | onion, chopped |
1 stick(s) | celery, chopped |
1 can(s) | tomatoes, peeled and diced |
3 clove(s) | black garlic, crushed |
1 tbsp | tomato puree |
2 tsp | caster sugar |
1 tsp | dried oregano |
salt and pepper |
Instructions
In a pan heat the oil. Sauté onion and celery until soft. Add tomato purée and the oregano and cook stirring for a minute. Add garlic and the canned tomatoes and bring to a boil. Season with salt, pepper and sugar.Cook over low heat for 45 minutes. Purée the sauce. Adjust the seasoning. Serve with pasta.
