Tomato beef stew recipe details
Ingredients
700 g | roast beef |
1 l | beef broth |
1 small | onion, chopped |
6 medium | potatoes, peeled, diced |
500 g | tomatoes, canned or fresh |
400 ml | tomato sauce, from can |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Put the beef in a large pan. Add broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and cook 2 hours or until meat is tender.When the meat is tender add the onion and cook for 1 hour. Add potatoes and cook another 20 minutes. Add tomato sauce and tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper, cover, and cook for further 20 minutes.
