Tofu burger recipe details
Ingredients
600 g | tofu |
1 | onion |
salt and pepper | |
1 tbsp | herbs de provence |
200 g | rice, cooked |
8 leaves | lettuce |
2 | tomatoes, sliced |
½ | cucumber, sliced |
8 tbsp | mayonnaise |
8 | burger buns |
Instructions
Mash the tofu with a fork. Finely chop half of the onion and cut the other half into rings. Mix the mashed tofu with chopped onions, herbs de Provence and the boiled rice. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Form 8 burgers out of the mixture. Grill them on a greased rack for approximately 15 minutes.Half the buns and layer on the lower halves a burger, a lettuce leaf, some tomato slices, cucumber slices and onion rings and 1 tablespoon of the mayonnaise. Cover with the upper half and serve immediately.
