Tangy potted cheese recipe details
Ingredients
120 g | freshly grated Cheddar cheese |
75 g | soft butter |
1 tbsp | port |
4 | spring onions, finely chopped |
½ tsp | caraway |
½ tsp | mustard powder, coarsley ground |
½ tsp | Worcestershire sauce |
75 g | walnuts, coarsley chopped |
crackers | |
2 sprig(s) | parsley |
cayenne pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Mix the cheese with the butter. Stir in port, onions, caraway, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined. Season to taste with cayenne pepper.Spoon the mixture into a serving dish. Cover with the walnuts and press the walnuts down lightly into the mixture. Chill for a t least 2 hours.
Serve with crisp crackers and garnished with parsley leaves.
