Ingredients1. Tuna, drained (2cans about 7 ounce in each)
2. milk (2c)
3. eggs (6)
4. bread, crust removed (6slices)
5. shredded Swiss cheese, divided (2c about 8 ounce)
6. salt, divided (1tsp)
7. dried dill (1/2tsp)
8. chopped mushrooms (4 ounces)
9. chopped green onions (1/4c)
10. hot pepper sauce (a dash)
11. Worcestershire sauce (1tsp)
12. melted butter (2tbsp)
Method of preparation
1. Take a large bowl, place tuna in it and then flake it. Add chopped mushrooms, green onions, ½ teaspoon of salt, dill and 1 cup of Swiss cheese in it. Mix all the ingredients well.
2. Take a shallow baking dish of 2 quart, butter it and then place bread slices on the bottom of the dish. Put the tuna mixture over the bread slices.
3. Take a bowl, beat eggs, pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, milk and the rest of the ½ teaspoon of salt in it. Then pour this mixture over the tuna. Then dust the rest of the 1 cup of shredded cheese on the top.
4. Cover the dish and keep it to chill for about 2 hours. Then take out the dish from the refrigerator and keep it for about 30 minutes at room temperature. Place the dish in oven and bake it for about 1 hour at 325 degrees F until the tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
