These little ham balls are backed in a brown sugar sauce and are always a party favorite. Perfect served as a side dish or to bring to a potluck.

Ingredients

Serves: 10
  • 1 pound minced ham
  • 1 pound minced pork
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup white vinegar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard

Preparation method

Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 40 mins

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F and coat a 13×9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Mix the minced ham, pork, bread crumbs, eggs, milk and salt in a large bowl and shape mixture into 1 inch balls. Place in baking dish.
3. In a saucepan, bring the brown sugar, vinegar, water and dry mustard to boil. Pour over the ham balls until covered.
4. Bake for 40 minutes, basting the ham balls often with the sauce.
