sweet and spicy tomato dip recipe details
Ingredients
1 | tangerine, peeled and diced |
1 | tomato, finely diced |
1 | orange, peeled and finely diced |
80 g | red onion, finely diced |
1 tbsp | cilantro, finely diced |
2 tsp | orange zest, grated |
1 tsp | ginger root, minced |
1 ½ tsp | garlic, crushed |
salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste | |
1 small | jalapeno chili, minced |
1 tsp | Tabasco sauce |
1 tsp | vegetable oil |
1 tsp | lemon juice |
Instructions
In a bowl, mix together the orange, tangerine, tomato, jalapeno, onion, grated orange zest, ginger, Tabasco sauce, oil, lemon juice and garlic. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Allow to steep in the refrigerator for 1 hour.Before serving, mix in the cilantro.
Good with poultry or tortilla-chips.
