Ingredients
100 g | flour, all-purpose |
2 large | eggs |
300 ml | milk |
1 tbsp | butter, melted |
some | salt, to taste |
Instructions
Have all the ingredients at room temperature before mixing. Preheat the oven to 110°C. Spray muffin tray with non stick cooking spray. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, butter and salt. Mix in the flour until blended.
Fill each muffin 2/3 full. If it happens that some muffin cups remain empty, fill them halfway with water to keep the heat even and avoid burning the other popovers.
Place the pan in the centre rack of the oven and raise the heat to 220°C.
Bake for 15 minutes and then reduce the heat to 180°C and bake for another 15 minutes.
Important: Do not open the oven door in the first 15 minutes of baking as this can cause the popovers to fall.
Open the oven after 15 minutes and serve immediately with butter and jam for breakfast.
