Ingredients
50 g | icing sugar |
100 g | butter |
100 g | flour |
100 g | ground almonds |
1 | egg yolk |
1 pack(s) | vanilla sugar |
salt | |
2 leaves | gelatin |
200 g | sour cream |
50 g | sugar |
200 g | whipping cream |
5 tbsp | chocolate flakes |
600 g | strawberries, hulled |
Instructions
In a bowl mix the icing sugar with butter, flour, almonds, egg yolk, 1 pinch of salt and the vanilla sugar. Knead until well combined. Wrap the dough in foil and place in the fridge for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 150°C.Roll out the dough between two sheets of baking paper to a rectangle and line a buttered cake form with the dough. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Allow to cool for 1 hour.
Soak the gelatin in water. Mix together the sour cream and the sugar. Whisk the whipping cream until stiff. Dissolve the gelatine over low heat. Combine 3 tablespoons of the sour cream with the gelatin and stir this into the remaining sour cream. Fold in the whipped cream and the chocolate flakes. Spread the cake base with the cream mixture.
Top with the strawberries and allow to set in the fridge for 3 hours before serving.
