- Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup brown rice
- raisins and coconut to taste
Bring water to a boil. Add brown rice and turn down heat to low.
Add a handful of raisins and coconut to taste, and cover for one hour. (If someone doesn’t like shredded coconut, just sprinkle it on top for those who like it Hawaiian style.)
We serve this with side dishes of sliced bananas, brown sugar (or maple syrup), plus chopped nuts of choice. (We like pecans best with this, but pick your nut.)
Serves:3 (can be doubled to serve 6).
