Ingredients
900 g | rump steak |
Dijon mustard | |
oil for frying | |
freshly ground pepper | |
100 g | mushrooms, sliced |
230 ml | Guinness or stout |
1 tsp | Worcestershire sauce |
Instructions
Coat the steaks with a thin layer of Dijon mustard and lots pepper. Fry in oil to a rare stage. Remove meat from pan and set aside.
Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan juices and sauté for 2 minutes. Add the stout and cook on a high heat for one minute. Add Worcestershire sauce.
Lay the steaks in an ovenproof dish and pour over the stout mixture.
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Cover dish with foil and bake for an hour.
