Can you handle this heat? Not for the faint of tongue, this hot chili gets a big boost from cayenne pepper. Inspired by keithv’s “Keith’s Bosox Chili”

Ingredients
Serves: 16- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 pounds coarsely ground turkey
- 2 hot Italian sausage links, chopped
- 1 red onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 4 (15 ounce) cans red kidney beans, drained
- 2 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
- 1 heaping tablespoon salt
- 1 heaping tablespoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 3 tablespoons cayenne (red pepper)
- 1/4 cup crushed red pepper
- 1 1/2 cups tomato juice
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 3 hours1. Heat oil in 4 quart pot and brown meat, sausage, onion, and garlic. Drain if needed but, if you use the good stuff, very little draining will be necessary.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients, stir, and simmer over low heat for 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Adjust heat with more red pepper flakes, if desired.
