Ingredients
Serves: 5- 1 pound bulk spicy Italian sausage
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons chopped green bell pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped red bell pepper
- 2 cups uncooked macaroni pasta
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup chili sauce
- 1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 20 mins1. Combine sausage, onion, and bell peppers in a large skillet and set over medium heat. Brown meat thoroughly, then pour off excess liquid.
2. Stir pasta and water into the skillet. When water comes to a boil, turn heat down to low and place a lid on the skillet. Cook for about 8 minutes to cook the pasta.
3. Add chili sauce and evaporated milk and turn heat up to medium-high. When the mixture comes to a boil, turn heat back down to low and cook for about 4 minutes.
4. Top with cheese, allow to melt, and serve.
